Tell me what you see in their emptiness,
Like transparent layers of thick glass frozen in ice,
Reflecting all of my pain and loneliness,
Now do you see the darkness within me?
Now will you stop pretending to be a memory?
I'm lost in your words again, maybe for an eternity,
Dear God, I don't want to take it with me...
It's not enough, this comfort you're giving,
Deep inside me something is missing,
I can hear not a beat, I can feel my soul fly away,
To seek joy and love in another day,
This is a disease and it is taking me by the hand,
Leading me to nowhere, striking me where I stand,
I can feel my mind leaking out thoughts of you,
And knowing that you were never true....
It kills me again and again,
Now I wait for you to understand,
I need you to shine through me,
Like a flame of reality,
Run through me and leave me be,
The monster in me, you can't see,
Shine through my blackest hours,
Be my guide, my strongest towers,
Lie inside me forever,
Please become my tear,
Save me from my fear,
For I love you, dear...
